De la fête des cultures et de la construction de la nation : le cas du Gabon

Résumé :

Elu maire de la commune de Libreville, au Gabon, en 1996,  Paul Mba Abessolo, linguiste des langues africaines va inscrire dans l’agenda politico- socio- culturel ce qu’il a nommé la ʺFête des culturesʺ. C’est dans le contexte de la  redéfinition du vivre ensemble par l’ONU, et sur l’appropriation de la philosophie de Julius K. Nyerere à savoir que l’on peut s’inspirer de la tradition pour mener à bien le développement d’un pays (J.Mfoulou, 1980) que Paul Mba Abessolo pose les fondements de la fête des cultures au Gabon. Dans une approche interculturelle, la présente contribution vise à analyser les possibilités, les mécanismes et les résultats de ladite vision des échanges interculturels pour l’unité qui devait  aboutir à la construction de la nation.

Abstract :

Elected Mayor of the municipality of Libreville, Gabon, in 1996, Paul Mba Abessolo, linguist of African languages ​​will include in the politico-socio-cultural agenda what he called the "Festival of cultures". It is in the context of the redefinition of living together by the UN, and on the appropriation of the philosophy of Julius K. Nyerere namely that we can draw inspiration from tradition to carry out the development of a country (J. Mfoulou, 1980) that Paul Mba Abessolo lays the foundations for the festival of cultures in Gabon. In an intercultural approach, this contribution aims to analyze the possibilities, mechanisms and results of the aforementioned vision of intercultural exchanges for the unity which was to lead to the construction of the nation.
